Chapter 4

The inside of the giant tower everyone was moving towards was as big as you’d expect, I looked behind me for support only to realize that the two girls had wandered of by themselves, I’m alone. Holding back the ever present fear I tried to act calm and marched forward along with everyone else. A shadow flickered across my vision and I shuddered in fear. “You know, they say monsters can smell fear” There was a deep laugh and I half turned to see Chris standing behind me looking down with that twisted smile on his face, for some reason he didn’t scare me, he just made me angry. “Why do you always smile?” I asked as forcefully as I could, so he would at least take me seriously. He just chuckled like I was a kid or something. Without even thinking I threw a little power at him, because he was being mean. He was still smiling and I got angrier and threw more pain at him, he still smiled but his eye’s dimmed a small bit and his breathing became a little forced. I smiled now completely consumed by rage at this stranger. Years of belittlement and bullying coming out in one storm of agony all directed at one man. Chris looked me directly. “Stop.” He thought he could tell me what to do. Red clouded my vision and I released the flood gates all the pain flowed into him his body twisted and his muscles flexed to their limit for a brief second then he punched me in the face, everything went dark.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Fuck that hurt. The little bastard. I wish I punched him harder but I had to settle for a broken nose, my nerve endings were on fire and I could barely move straight. The pain was gone from my body but was etched into my mind. I looked down at the slumped body, he was short only five foot or so, he had curly brown hair and was kinda fat, his face was simple and not exceptional in any standards. I breathed deeply and tried to prevent myself from killing the little prick. instead I scooped him up like a sack of bricks and dumped him over my shoulder. “Hey anybody here a healer, chubs here broke a nose.” A thin looking guy walked over and timidly said he was. I dropped the tub of lard at his feet and left gestured at him. The guys hands started to glow and the bleeding stopped and his nose corrected itself on his face. I reached into my coat pocket and removed a packet of tissues and begrudgingly cleaned the guys face. I then disposed of the tissues in a nearby bin. I then collected my package and continued on into the building. I got a weird stares and one person had the balls to ask a seven and a half foot guy that looks like a monster “Hey, did you kill this guy.” I shook my head and laughed at the bloke. We made our way across the large room to a receptionist desk across the way, I noticed that most people were looking around as if expecting something to happen and the group I was talking to earlier were slowly moving back and they seemed to be laid out so all of them were looking out over a different part of the room almost like sentries. I decided to take my cargo and be a martyr to the group and confidently strode on ahead of the herd and towards the desk at a brief pace. People looked shocked to see me walking forward, I asked the person at the front of the herd why everyone was so cautious, he then informed me that every year they have a surprise attack for the freshmen in here so people are trying to be prepared. I nodded and then continued my confident pace forward. I then decided to make a direct challenge. “Hey if anyone attacks me on the way to that desk over there I want you to know I’m prepared to use chubby here as a weapon of self defense, any injury he sustains is your fault not mine, got it.” I was weird, random and insane just like me. I then continued my confident pace, wondering what would happen to me. I then saw a blur fly past me and without missing a beat applied my own super speed to it’s full extent and flicked back my leg as fast as I could I heard a muffled yelp and turned to see some guy grabbing his balls and slumping to his knees. I then scooped him over my other shoulder and yelled out again. “Just so you know this guy is a prisoner of war, surrender now and he won’t be harmed, but if you don’t…” I left it there and marched onward. I noticed the crowd behind me were hurrying up a bit trying to catch up. The guy on my shoulder started struggling a little but he was a speeder not a strongman so I had him safely. At the same time Jerhico started waking up and struggling as well. “Keep still Jer, you owe me for that little incident earlier, so suck it up and take the humiliation of being carried like a child, also meet your new roomie, I’m sorry but he hasn’t introduced himself yet. The other guy slung over my shoulder calmed down a bit when he realized he couldn’t get free. I had both arms pinned a his constant kicking was useless as I felt a little hollow after what Jer did. I was about four feet from the desk when the lady sitting behind the desk pulled started to pull out a gun. I carefully threw Jer at the lady but made sure to put in enough height so that i had time to catch him before he landed. I then quickly reached across and grabbed the gun from her hands as she stood there startled. I then grabbed Jer by the back of his trousers and tugged him back in mid air to land on my shoulder again, and then pointed a gun at the ladies head. Her shocked expression was hilarious. I then emptied all the bullets from the gun over her desk and politely asked. “Hi, we’re freshmen and we’d like to go to class now, or tests or training or whatever you have lined up for us.” I tilted my head and let my eyes fill with affection nearly. I then decided to turn and look behind me to see with some interest the chaos that was ensuing behind me. The rest of the freshmen were hung of the ground by their ankles and several people were walking through their ranks talking to the disorientated freshmen. I turned back to the lady, “You know when i say us I mean me and Jerhico here. You do with them what you want and all, your the bosses after all.”
